Isn't the back a bit twitchy on the old TT's ?

Go for something 2/3 years old, maybe a VW EOS (Golf convert). Stay away from older Merc converts heavy on fuel, some models had major issues, heavy on petrol with the bigger enginer models etc. MX5? Has won tons of awards in. one for most reliable convertible. And u models dating back to 1989 to choose from. My Dad has just bought a turbo charged one (mid life crisis) and it's great fun to drive.

Get her a used 911 Porsche... I have a 1987 911 and I love it... great value and a super car for a budget price...

The old 180 two wheel drive maybe, but not the 225 as they are all wheel drive.

I love my WRX - not as much as I loved my Evo but it is more practical. Holds the road too well to be real fun but still great to blast round in.

Clippy - WRXes might be Wayne cars but they are def not Waynetta cars (and I'm not just saying it cos I have one - honest!)

Best car I ever had: Oldie Vauxhall Cavalier... lovely.

Incidentally, I have crashed every car I've ever had. Last one was pretty special... skidded on a wet road into a house and two cars (one of 'em brand new, delivered that morning!), airbags deployed, horn blaring, smoke billowing, had to kick the door open to get out, ten-mile tailback. Not a scratch on me, though!
