Most metal top convertables use the merc folding roof mechanism (Pegeot 307 has this). But, don't buy the 307 cc, it handles like a blamanche and like all peugeots the build quality is sh1t.

I think the widely accepted phrase is "hairdresser's car" - although that is, of course, hairdresserist.
Most soft tops are either hairdresser's cars or "man in a midlife crisis" cars.
