Fair point, but think with the Eos you get a bit of 'exclusivity'.
For me, this and the VW reliability is money better spent.

Yeah, I've heard that said - along with Fiats.

They do a 1987 911 with a metal folding roof then?

Does it have airbags, ABS, heated electric seats, sat nav, climate control and all the other things std on any new car these days?

No, it will be more basic than a 3 yr old Ford Ka and not much faster than a modern diesel.

Sense should never come into buying a car, they mostly haemorrhage value, so select based on an emotional response. It may only be worth 10p by the time you're done with it but at least she'll have enjoyed owning it!

don't waste all your money on your wife.. she'll only get accustomed and want more..

get her a fiat panda and have done with it.. and tell her she can pay you back in installments.

                  Get her a Jensen Interceptor.

I've always fancied saying 'I'm just off to the shops in the interceptor'

Persuade her out of the folding hard top, bound to have problems with all those moving parts.

Get her an old shape Audi TT Roadster 225. Good looks, holds the money well and bloody good fun to drive. Also has long service intervals. I know cos my wife has one.
