I never once said I was in favour of "anything goes" posting. And if you'd been around the last few days, you'd know I am a massive fan of Scotspine (and I support both the bannings yesterday).

I just dont like your judgemental tone thats all. You're coming accross as a thread snob.

SA is right Duder went a bit bonkers yesterday and I don't know what went on with the other fella but it was just messing about and in LR so whilst I think the mods do a good job mostly (SP, please don't ban me again!), I kind of think, if you don't like the look of a thread, don't read it.

I for one, come on here for a bit of mindless drivel to break up the day and do read the more serious posts, it's just I don't often have anything to add to them....

1) Scotspine and the Admins probably all get paid for this, so they probably dont need a motivational thread expressing our undying love for them
I think we express our appreciation of this site by logging in every day dont we?

2) Scaroth - people have as much right to post childish and juvenile drivel as others have to post daily, drawn out, boring threads about house prices and politics. Neither are against the T's & C's, and both are equally as valid.


This thread is pointless and will only serve to bring out the "old school" brigade who want everyone off the board who wasn't on here 5 years ago, and I'm fairly sure they'd all start with me aswell, so to that I say

I don't mind if you post nonsense in "Light Relief" where it can be safely ignored but the description of the "General" forum is "General issues affecting and of interest to contractors". There's nothing wrong with a little light hearted banter but things have got seriously out of hand on this board over the last year or so.

Can we have a "banned by Scotspine" section of the forum where we can view them?

I like that idea! Seriously, it might help if there was (as someone elsewhere suggested) an explanation as to why someone has been banned - unless you read the boards constantly, you miss out on all the "fun".

As I've said before - if there were a few more categories, it might help people post in the right place: a "Parental Advisory" board, "Banned topics", "General Chat", "Contracting Issues" etc. etc.
