When that was still seen as a reasonable compromise too many selfish smokers just continued with their antisocial habits and lost any sympathy such a notion might have held for the silent non-smoking majority that grew ever more restless for change. Now that change has come it will be viewed by the smokers as draconian, but the majority of us feel it is for the best.
Anyway, nobody is stopping you embarking upon just such a scheme. You just can't do it in Blighty.

You seem to be shadowing our progress quite closely fd, there may be hope for you yet. However, the "FANNI" deal is dead in the water which is a bit of a shame because had it come off we could have paired him in central defence with BALDE!

I am with you, I do not like smoking at all and I will benefit from the ban. But I detest the state, the jobsworth and small minded golf club committee type far more. Which of these is you?
