Seems like they are taking it seriously though. They have already nicked 2 asian blokes for smoking at Glasgow Airport!

There is evidence from some places where bans have been introduced that overall government revenues increases due to improving economic activity (as a result of the redirection of the funds). This seems to be in places where taxation of tobacco products was not as high. My previous point was that any gap - although potentially a fairly large amount - is not really great in the overall size of public spending.

I do not smoke and never have done. I made a point in my post whereas you have reeled off a diatribe of cliches and assumptions. Do all smokers really blow their smoke in other people's faces? And your understanding of the words "whinging" and "bitching" seem to be words you use to insult someone who does not agree with your point of view?

Or is it simply that you are too stupid and bigoted to actually put up a counter argument?

I do not smoke and never have done. I made a point in my post whereas you have reeled off a diatribe of cliches and assumptions. Do all smokers really blow their smoke in other people's faces? So far DA, the anti smoking nazis have singularly failed to understand the argument.

I have to laugh at SB and others of the "weak willed" brigade. He is so strong willed that he has been drinking in pubs for 30 years with an atmosphere that offends him.
He has never excercised hs right to stand outside or stay at home or open a non smokers pub. Yet he is proud to force smokers to stand outside or go home, unfortunately they will not have the option of opening their own smokers pub, they will all have been shut down because the nazis want to be able to go in them too.

Oh change the record TLG, the bottom line is your selfish antisocial air-polluting days are now at an end. Try telling people that might give a sh1t, you'll find most of them standing outside pubs. If you want the opinions of those with willpower you'll have to call or text them, they'll be indoors in the warm.
