Anyway... now you're back, care to enlighten us as to how you'd (hypothetically of course) propose to clip the BBC's wings?
I would personally stop the propaganda news (all of it, no BBC news) and the programs they seem to be developing which address social issues from a completely biased viewpoint. However my license fee is hardly likely to make them change their mind, it's a government tool and they ain't listened to us on all other important matters lately. They don't libel people though so we canny throw the law at them.

It is supposed to be independent, it clearly is not. Good old state control, the commies friend.

State control or government control? Either way, you'd be happy enough if the state was run according to your liking. If the BBC's not independent, why does it criticise the government. It's pretty clear that the reason you want it censored is because it doesn't share your squalid little view of the world.

The tabloids are independent in terms of ownership, but you'd like to see their wings clipped too. Oh, and gag the lefties?

I made it perfectly clear how I think they behave, they need reeling in and reporting facts not lies and slander. It is neither help to either side in any argument, simply fogging the issues. The BBC need to be subject to the same constaints, they should not speculate as they have begun to do in the last few years. Presumably trying to compete with other news organisation of less repute.

How you could ever think I was SASguru beggars belief, she's a half-wit.

'Reeling in', 'Clipping wings' - why don't you just say censorship, it's what you mean.

I was crediting SASguru with powers of creativity to stoop to the level of a quarter-wit.
