Parents encouraged to use large 4x4's by the government
We've got a Honda FR-V. It's got six seats in two rows, so obviously not a 7-seater, but that suits us fine (2 adults, 4 kids). As it happens, most the time there aren't six people in it, but we've been on long journeys with all of us in there and all the holiday baggage and it's fine, plenty of space.
It's an incredibly bland looking car of course, but a bit more friendly on the eye than the Fiat Multipla which has the same seating configuration. The Honda is like an expanded hatchback.
That IS interesting. Ever thought of setting up in competition with Top Gear
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
Hate Vauxhaull's with a passion (too much time stuck in the back of one while my parents went into pubs that didn't along kids in the bar when I was a nipper probably has something to do with it) and I have similar feelings about Ford's, also Ford's are very plasticy which drives me mad.
Current possibilities are an Audi Q7 or a Seat Allhana (SP?) Anything with climate controll would be good
I see a few people getting off on the why do you need a 4x4 if you don't offroad, please reread original post, I said 4x4 sized
Maybe there is something in that, the kids are so fat and heavy you need 4wd and reinforced suspension to carry 'em.
I remember the good old days of this site when people used to moan about serious contractor related issues like house prices and immigration. How times have changed!?
Is this a modern euphemism for my kids are so obese they no longer fit on the back seat of the car lol Been feeding them too many pies?!??
If you stick two full sized child seats in the average sized car you will find there is no space for anything else, it's actually worse if the kids are smaller because they can't use a booster seat and need a full sized car seat instead.....
