That is not what I said, and it has not degenerated into a slanging match, though I am sure that it soon will now that you hacve stepped in
This apology I owe you: it had IMHO degenerated into a slanging mathc, but not from your side.
Anywaqy, I'm sorry to say that you are right in general about the Scots' attitude, and I dislike that at least as much as you do. But I may be right about how it gets fixed.....
I agree that there is a lot of hatred from both sides
I don't know any English people who hate the Scots. There used to be loads in the football context, but even they don't care any more since Scotland sank without trace.

Only thing I have against the Scots is they dislike the English.

Not all of us. My missus is English, most of my friends are English or Welsh. I have nothing against them apart from people like DA that make obviously ignorant remarks.

Ditto. I think a lot of it stems from the fact that Scottish children are taught in schools about the historical repressions that took place whereas most English children are not. On a similar theme most English people I have met seem to have an unexplained dislike for the French which probably boils down to them having been taught about Crecy/Agincourt/Hastings/Waterloo etc.
Once people start mixing together most of this minor animosity is soon forgotten, but there are always some that struggle to move on.

I admit...I have no time for the French. Nothing based on history, just from personal experiences. I find them ignorant, arrogant and nasty people...I am sure there are nice ones so this is a generalisation but the ones I have met or dealt with do nothing to convince me otherwise.
