Another ill informed arguement from an ignorant. The thought, perpetuated by the English is that billions goes up to Scotland and nothing comes back down. Actually, England sends approx £8billion up to Scotland every year, but Scotland sends approx £13Billion down in commodites such as oil and gas etc.
So, we would indeed be better off.....
Last time this argument came around, I actually bothered to look the figures up. Scotland benefits by a net £5billion per annum.
In actual fact, the man who masterminded the English Football League was actually Scottish, William McGregor. Come to think of it, have England ever come up with ANY sporting ideas of their own? Oh that's right................Cricket!
You've probably never heard of Rugby, of course. They have a school there where they invented the best game on the planet
Oh dear. I suspected that this was the case but even if we trebled the tax money we pay into Scotland that will simply mean trebling the number of unemployed alcoholic drug takers. At least Scotland is still just about poor enough to force one or two people to work .
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
