      Out of the loop on this - is this a descendant of the visual cobol stuff from a few years ago?

      I got an email from an agent asking if I would be interested in a vax cobol/VMS DCL programming gig. God knows how old that CV version was - cetainly pre-interweb anyway.

        I am finding ti difficult to get a contract with my WFW skills now. Seems people have moved on to summat called Win95 now....no idea wot that is....

          Does anyone rember the 'Gem' desktop, it sat on top of Dos....

            You forget that it is difficult to retrain people to use new skills. In fact it is impossible to retrain anyone over thirty years of age. That is why we have to import all these highly skilled and experienced Indians.

              In an industry like IT development, i think the onus should be on the individual to make sure their skills are up to date (not general IT)

                    lol, I had a Ferranti pc at the time running on an 8086 cpu (Dos 3.1), my friend just bought a with 5.25" Amstrad with Gem installed.
