You do not need to formalise (in the legal sense) any relationship unless there are children involved & an ad in the Times could serve the same purpose.
I'm always intrigued as to why so many seem to see the status of marriage on its own as desirable, and equally curious as to why an exotic honeymoon should be considered such an integral part of a marriage ceremony
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

I'll remember that one in the future years. "Hey hon do you remember when we formalised our relationship? lovely day wasn't it..."

Honeymoon is a holiday from all the organising of this day, does not have to be exotic island but hey any old excuse will do!

                My vote: Hawaii (specifically Maui)

                or Namibia

Uruguay is nice and you can pop over to Buenos Aires for a day or two or the Maldives (be choosy about which island though).

I was tempted to go to Iceland for mine, but in the end the Galapagos won.

Hilton Rengali in the Maldives. Stop in Dubai on the way and it will be perfect.
