It is, and last year I would have said it was very good. New model out now and it's not getting good reviews. The diesel struggles with the bigger body of the new version. If you want performance go for the petrol 2.3 Aero. Also runs on Bio-Ethanol, assuming you can find somewhere to buy it.

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Mind you, just saw a review of the new Koenigsegg CCXR. Weighs the same as a Mini and has more power than a Veryon!

Oh, and it runs on Bio-Ethanol as well!

Before buying the Saab 93 I considered buying a bmw 3 series, merc or audi.
I've heard if you don't want to be common you should buy a ford mondeo as there are more 3 series being sold every year. They are so common.

Mercs are over rated. When you walk into a Merc dealership the spotty salesmen on £3.50 p/h talk down to you.

Audi came 2nd only because of the cost. I think the A4 is a nicer looking car then the Saab and probably better in every way. However, by 3 yr old, sub 30K 93 was a little over 11K. I did consider the Aero but as I only use it at the weekends and I have a small child I'm the always in the slow lane.

The diesel used to only be available as a manual as well I think.

All the 2.3 versions are good in terms of performance (I have the 185 one and it really shifts in the 40-90 range)

The new ones have those funny headlight surrounds and 9-5s suffer from woeful depreceation that would put me off buying a new one but three yrs old they are a bargain compared to beemers and mercs.

Its also the first car with fan-cooled seats - a must!

                  Current : Oyster Card
                  Dream : Honda S2000.

As I have a 1 year old (and a sensible wife!!!) I have zero chance of getting the Honda which means I want one even more. By the time she stops using the argument about needing a sensible car with sensible seats, I'll probably be able to trade in the Oyster for a 15 year old S2000 banger with 128,000 miles on the clock. Great.
