Mortgage the house up the hilt, then lose it come the next recession.

Mortgage debt can be good debt when wage inflation is keeping up with house inflation.

That sounds good. Until the country is flooded by Polish plumbers.

          Oh.

The concept is more applicable to UK plc as a whole ! We have borrowed a lot of money to buy the same old houses off each other as before the boom and then fillled them with imported stuff. The result is a huge pile of debt with no gain in productivity and big problems when nobody wants to give us more money to keep the whole thing going. If UK plc is borrowing to invest in skills and industry then theoretically we will be able to use those skills to export stuff and pay back the money. Hope that load of bollards sets your mind at ease !

I hope the housing market crashes!
Maybe then i can buy my own house and have some money left over for a new pair of socks!

Interest rates will be going up in May thats for sure!
Everyone whos got massive debts is going to get screwed over. Especially those who have maxxed out they credit cards!
                Keep it clean!!!

Skating away on the thin ice of the new day.

                    Meanwhile ...

... back in the year one
when you belonged to no-one ---

You didnt stand a chance son
                    - if your pants were undone.

                    - cause you were bred for humanity
                    and sold to society ---

One day youll wake up in the present day ---

A million generations removed from expectations
Of being who you really want to be.

Skating away - on the thin ice of the new day.

So as you push off from the shore,
Wont you turn your head once more --- and make your peace with everyone?

For those who choose to stay,
Will live just one more day ---

To do the things they should have done.

And as you cross the wilderness, spinning in your emptiness:

You feel you have to pray.
                    Looking for a sign

That the universal mind (!) has written you into the passion play.

Skating away on the thin ice of the new day.

And as you cross the circle line, the ice-wall creaks behind ---
Youre a rabbit on the run.

Well, do you ever get the feeling that the storys
Too damn real and in the present tense?

Or that everybodys on the stage, and it seems like
Youre the only person sitting in the audience?

Skating away on the thin ice of the new day.

Sorry Rootsnall, I'm not laughing at you, but at the idea of this government doing such a thing.
