If you're paying minimum wage that's about 1k all up.
Gotta have an IR35 friendly contract though or your deemed income could make it a very expensive ring indeed.Comment

fyi... i bought my wifes diamond from a jeweller and then had it set in the shank i picked from a selection in platinum.... alll in cost 1500....
its nice and she like the fact i went the extra mile...
i believe buying the stones in South Africa and coming back for the shank is a good idea too... friends of mine did something similar
