    ahh diamond engagement ring

if you want to do it properly...

whisk your lady off to Antwerpen for the weekend, there are many good diamond ring jewellers in Antwerpen and good prices too

remember, with diamonds, it's not size, it's quality which counts, therefore aim for a VS1 standard or higher

    hope that helps,

    Milan.

It's 0.375. There are now some regulations that can stop 9ct being described as gold. In some mixed settings it's supposed to be described as "yellow metal".

There is an argument that suggests 9ct may be better than 18ct for everyday usage. 18ct is prone to wear and easy damage. Not an argument I'd like to put forward for an enagement ring though.

I got mine online - but I'm sorry, I forget what the company was now. They were a place in the UK - I'll see if I can have a scout round for you.

I went shopping round all the high street shops and stuff, and just couldn't find anything I liked. My lad said I had an unlimited budget (bless him) but I ended up falling in love with a ring that only cost like £500.
The online ones are brilliant - they send out size charts, and give really close up pictures of them. I'd recommend them definately.

I'll see if I can find the company...

Don't buy diamond in UK its a ripoff. Bought a ring here which was valued at 1/3 price elsewhere.
You may buy cheaper in Antwerp . If you have more time in your hand fly to India.

Rubbish made up by crap jewellers aiming at chavs. 18ct or 22ct gold can be just as tough as 9ct gold it the correct metals are used to make an alloy. 22ct gold is generally softer and will warp to match the shape of you finger after time (but then so will most rings worn regulary) 18ct will be just as hard wearing as 9ct crap.

For the real deal you want 24ct gold (And yes it is possible to get)!!!

For an engagement ring nothing less that a diamond solitare set in platinum is worthwhile!!!

As a lass who's had to wear an engagement ring twice now, I would advise against getting a sticky out diamond one (what are they called again?).
Its your typical engagement ring style, but they catch on everything. Most lasses who get them fawn all over them for a couple of months, then take them off and never wear them again as they're impractical. You ruin all your clothes with them, and often end up scratching yourself (not to mention the dangers for you during the "thank you w*nk").

Just my opinion though - from a practical point of view.

Depends how it is set, I personally find big clunky jewells sticking out to be quite chavvy and offensive. I would rather get my missus a ring that looks stylish and is proportional to the size of her hand.

Why get a 15ct diamond knuckle duster if you missus has small slim dainty hands and 0.5ct will look much better on her.
