    Well, small businesses don't

    Contribute to party funds
    Give directorships to retired politicians
    Buy peerages for their directors

    etc. etc.
Why the avatar? Well anyone accused of plotting against Gordon Brown can't be all bad.

His Gordoness was on BBC breakfast this morning. Again he stated that individuals were atrificially incorporating and avoiding tax. But now he's put in tax credits to compensate...He knows that most business will not apply for those because they're a pain in the ass.

Cha ching! and - if speculated - that there will eventually become a single tax for all corporations eventually. There will be no point in contracting as you'll be marginally better off - but with a hassle to acheive it.

Well done..killed off (more) legitimate businesses.

The question is whether tax is being spent correctly.
That was the point in my comment to SA. As you get older and see governments come and go, you realise that the more tax we pay, the more of it is wasted. It is the law of diminishing returns.

Another issue is that the more benefits we have as a nation, the more self-reliance is bred out of us, and the more benefits we need.

Although I do agree with paying taxes, I try to my very core to pay as few as possible. if you want the truth about me, I'm a secret tory with screwed up socialist ideals. I will be voting Tory next election, but only cause I think Labour needs to regroup and think about what they've done. I dont expect anything from the Tories, but I'm willing to let them try to be honest.

ps - thanks Burdock for being the only one who stuck up for me. Sorry I made you show your inner human side though, it's a sign of weakness on this board you know!

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
