Depends, there's definitely children who are quite clearly gay from a very young age. If being gay is actually sexual, then no they're not gay but they're destined to be later in life.

That is a ridiculous statement. How can you possibly tell whether a 5 year old is going to grow up to be gay? And if being gay is sexual???? What else can it be? It doesn't matter how you dress it up sexual preference is not something that should be discussed in primary school - children of that age are naturally non-judgemental and non-prejudicial so why bother confusing them. I agree that children shouldbe taught that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality but I don't agree that it should be taught as being the norm.

Quite easily, if you accept that being gay isn't a choice but just the way some people are born. Any gay person I've ever talked to about it says they knew from a very young age, even when in some cases they weren't aware of it, they were aware that they didn't fit in with the general view of what's 'normal'.

A couple of kids I grew up with were quite clearly gay (And got all the associated abuse, some of it pretty horrendous) that's comes with that. A friends sister has a little boy (About 8 or so) who's also quite clearly gay, and his step dad, repulsive fecker that he is, constantly disparages him for it.

Yes part of being gay is sexual, but I also think most gay men and women also have other traits beyond the purely sexual which identify them also. How much of that is learned and how much is instinctive I don't know, but from what I've seen it usually ties in, in the case of men, with more feminine and creative type traits..

Teaching children to be gay is wrong, period!

If you decide that you want to become gay, or experiment when you are sexually mature, that is your own choice. Teaching children that they should be gay by force feeding them literature that has 2 princes getting it on in it is disgusting and another sick indictment of this totally useless bunch of w*nkers calle New Liebour.

Most gay people I know would agree that being homosexual is a choice that is not considered the norm and that championing gay rights is a issue regarding sexuality. Sexuality has no place in school with children that young. Save the sexuality until the kids reach sexual maturity and let the children be children!!!! Sexual politics in schools is sinking to the ultimate low. Secondly as same sex couples cannot have children I don't see how people can say stories like this are needed. Daddy + Daddy does not equal baby, and the same goes for Mummy + Mummy. Same sex couples shouldn't have children unless they are bisexual and have children from a previous relationship.
