    Nationwide Building Society House Price Index October 2025

    Adding an EV charger isn't really a green improvement to your home though is it? You'll be using MORE electricity than before you installed it so technically it's a negative change not a green improvement surely? Being pedantic yes the but paragraph starts 'Of those undertaking work, around a third (34%) made green improvements to their property,' so it's kinda there in the title.

        It's a fair point - maybe this has been calculated as offsetting the use of a petrol car possibly. Banks are keen to show their green credentials and have marginally lower rates or arrangement fees when a property has an a or b energy perfomance certifcate. This is the link I use to check:
