There was a ceasefire on Oct 6th (well apart from Gaza sending rockets daily into Israeli civilian areas) , Gaza had been allowed elf determination and zero Jews in Gaza. THEN THE PALESTINIANS ATTACKED CIVILIAN TARGETS as terrorists.
Because of the daily shelling (before the 7th) Israel had invented Iron dome which intercepted rockets before they landed to save Gazan lives. Normal people would just follow the rockets back and obliterate the launch pads & surrounding areas. Israel choses on a daily basis not to turn the missile sites and the surrounding blocks into rubble.

The first thing the Israelis said after October 7th was there could be a ceasefire if Palestine returned the hostages and the terrorists surrendered to a suitable organisation (UN NATO or similar) . Now this was rejected.

Israel could have converted Gaza to a car park and cemetery in a few days with their air superiority but they chose not to sending soldiers in at great risk to try to kill the terrorists embedded in underground tunnels based in targets such as hospitals and schools using civilian

This is all publicly communicated and verified by experts.

They have been very restrained unlike any other country that has been brutally attacked by terrorists.

Maybe its because France isn't Jewish you don't protest against France responding to terrorist attacks by sending warships to obliterate Algeria.

Well its right you should ask that, the official leftie line is that the Gazan's are pure innocents oppressed by the racist Jews. The facts seem to be different.
1.the Gazans voted in and still actively support Hamas according to respectable polls.
2.a number of alleged Gazan civilians and UNWRA employees took part in the 7th. They videoed it if you doubt this.
3. Their schools are filled with anti Jewish teaching and materials supplied partially by UNWRA. These are online if you can stomach them.
4. The Gazans outnumber the terrorists 100,000 to one, 2Million Gazans 20,000 Hamas terrorists. As I said most western countries would help though the Guardian & BBC probably wouldn't help..
