Just for the record, even before Brexit he would not qualify to stay in the UK after 90 days or any EU after 90 days. Boris Johnson removed the requirement for foreigners to register and closed the Alien Offices thus the UK does not know who is overstaying and who should leave. It’s a government failing.

          Huh?

You were allowed to stay in the UK if you are working and had no fixed abode. I remember it was tested in Court as there was a construction worker living in a tent in London. (Think the guy was Polish.)

Apparently the UK government screwed up unlike other EU nations by not insisting you had to have an residential address to stay here. Another screw up is allowing people to become "self-employed".
