Hobgoblin or some kind of porter for beer.
Or a decent single malt - Laphroaig OMC (Old Malt Cask) is the best I've tasted so far. You don't get much change from £60 for a bottle, but we're contractors and it's worth it.Comment

If it's beer then Leffe or Staropramen.
For chilling in from of the TV Johnny Walker Blue Label does the trick, if I'm out of that then Jamesons it good too.
I do like usual spirits though. Like Stroh Rum 80% or Bohemian Absinth (i.e. the blue Czech variety not the green French one). Generally anything that's quite strong and a bit strange does the job
