If it's beer then Leffe or Staropramen.
For chilling in from of the TV Johnny Walker Blue Label does the trick, if I'm out of that then Jamesons it good too.
I do like usual spirits though. Like Stroh Rum 80% or Bohemian Absinth (i.e. the blue Czech variety not the green French one). Generally anything that's quite strong and a bit strange does the job

Hobgoblin or some kind of porter for beer.
Or a decent single malt - Laphroaig OMC (Old Malt Cask) is the best I've tasted so far. You don't get much change from £60 for a bottle, but we're contractors and it's worth it.

Taylor's port, or fruli fruit beer
edit: Oh and Islay single malt. Basically anything that doesn't have a worm or dead lizard in the bottle.Last edited by OwlHoot; 23 February 2007, 21:07.

Guinness.
I do like red wine, but I've gone off it a bit. I also really liked Jameson, but for some reason I've gone off that a bit too. I developed a bit of a taste for Tesco 12-year old scotch, but wouldn't you know it, I've gone off that too. So I'm in a searching for decent whisk(e)y phase at the moment.
It's only Guinness that I've stuck with.
