Outrage from medics at the return of Rickets as cases of the ‘Victorian’ disease rocket by 25% in Scotland with critics calling it a ‘symptom of state failure’
    • Cases of rickets in Scotland surged 25 per cent from 354 in 2018 to 442 in 2022
    • Scotland saw almost as many cases of rickets as the whole of England in 2022

as its diet & lifestyle related it seems a bit more likely it is a family thing?

Asian countries and the Middle East are mainly confronted with vitamin D deficiency whereas many African and some Asian countries face calcium deficiency rickets. Immigrants and refugees or in general people with a darker skin living in moderate climate zone are also confronted with this disease.

It could also be a function of their latitude and their sedentary lifestyle - too much social media, not enough going out and playing Golf!

The SNP may not be happy with that suggestion...

The SNP are never happy with any suggestion if the suggestion came from someone other than them

Scottish people, particularly Glaswegians, alcohol and golf clubs would be a poor mix.
