The Official way to fix broken British political system

    1. Scrap FPTP, a form of PR is needed
    2. Anybody who studied in Oxbridge or Eton - barred from being elected
    3. Minimum requirement for Ministers - at least 10 years of relevant experience
    4. Strict limits on donations - few grand max, anybody who donates gets banned from getting any honours
    5. Term limits - maximum of two
    6. Bring politicians under the Fraud Act - heavier prison time for lies (including by omission), any breach of manifesto promise should result in new election and prison for 1/10th randomly selected MPs from the party that breached it

    Anything else?

Trying to prove someone who lies Iike Bliar e.g. most"normal" politicians would be impossible in a court of law.

This doesn't really make sense to me. Ministers aren't meant to be specialists and I think it can be harmful if they are as it can make them less willing to listen to opposing views.

Ministers listen to specialists and make a decision taking other factors into account, like money and public opinion.

Easy, but to make it even easier all parties must be required to put all material stuff they plan to do (especially taxes) into manifesto - no omissions, basically if they don’t ******* know what they will do with taxes they should not be elected, most important - no tax increases allowed other than those in manifesto

Yeah like now Ministers are really doing that

Nobody with a fooking study of “classics” should be running anything other their narrow field of study.

If you studied classics properly you would know what types of leading people doesn't work.

I would ban people who studied PPE only from being MPs.

That's not because they don't have experience in the field though. Are we forgetting how many covidiots with medical degrees there were?
