IT is a commodity skill, unless your skills are extraordinary or you can add value through business knowledge.

I can add as much business knowledge as I want. Indeed I vomit business knowledge every day.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

You clearly haven't a commercial bone in your body. Do you think organisations exist solely to provide you with jobs? They exist to make a profit. Cut out the bulltulip and contribute to the bottom line.
              Or else become a teacher.

What's your contribution? Else than wearing a tie? Where is your "business value"?

His added value is inserting the camp word "Clearly" into sentences. :-)

                    Clearly!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

                      Francko,
you will need to be very lucky to get a position where you are required to "lead" something. Not many companies will too readily put an Italian in charge of anything worthwhile. Have you considered applying for a position designing reverse gears for armoured vehicles at all?
