    Vitamin D

Brilliant logic. Enough sun to go a bit pink will generate 10000-20000 units of vitamin D3 (precursor to vitamin D). Therefore the recommended daily dose for active vitamin D of 600 is too small.

It's quite fascinating how the body prevents too much active vitamin D being produced by sun exposure.

So how much Vitamin D does the human body actually require per day?

It's rather strange that the Doctor mentions how much Vitamin D3 could be produced on a sunny day and then conflaits that with the current recommended supplementary dose.

Imo, the guy's a quack with an axe to grind.
