    Easter "half term?"

I must have seen half a dozen mentions "hope you have/had" a good Easter half term, or "Loads of people are on holiday for half term" in reference to the Easter school holidays.

Has something changed? I don't recall hearing this before and surely Easter marks the end of the school spring term, we already had half term week around the end of February.
I could understand one person saying it by mistake but hearing it several times I'm wondering if it's just a coincidence or not?

It's a mistake unless they are from NI.

Due to working remotely with people I googled to see when they would likely be taking time off over Easter. In England, Scotland and Wales the Easter break is definitely 2 weeks. In NI it is just over a week.
