Not quite the same in US civil law where also the burden of proof is always on the person who brings a claim in a dispute. However, IMHO, it is easier to sue in a US court.

It's common for those who have been abused to be groomed to help find others to be abused.

Sadly it seems he is guilty and they are quite reasonably distancing themselves from the fallout.

it is, sadly many paedophiles and sex offenders were abused by people when young its a vicious circle. That may be a part of sentencing but not when distributing guilt.

I suspect Maxwell was at least mentally abused by her very unpleasant father but I doubt that will be mentioned.

It was mentioned by some newspaper articles who did an analysis of Maxwell's case that she was open to being manipulated by Epstein. The difference in Maxwell's case is that she was an adult with a degree from a world renown university.

They did do some dodgy stuff to make money as soon as they got married, but as soon as the Queen put a stop to it they behaved themselves and found Royal roles.

He only needs to be guilty in the Court of public opinion and if they want the armed forces to be loyal to the Crown he has to go .
