    PIMS

The daughter of a friend of mine was thought to be suffering from PIMS (I'd never heard of it). Turns out she wasn't, but I looked up the condition. Paediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome.

It arises a few weeks after recovering from Covid. It affects otherwise healthy kids and can put them in ICU. However, with treatment the prognosis is good. According to a Guardian article from February, 100 kids a week were affected by this in the UK at the time. So much for Covid being harmless to healthy kids.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!
