When most people choose a calendar to pin on their wall they would usually go for some cute animals or a famous film star. So Kevin Beresford was surprised when his calendar, celebrating the benches of his hometown, Redditch, became a runaway success.
The unique dullness of his subject matter has struck a chord with the British public, and he’s now grappling with hundreds of orders while his flat has turned into a full-time calendar factory.

“I’m having to get another 100 printed every day. We must be getting on for over a thousand now. It’s all we’ve been doing, night and day,” said the 69-year-old, who is retired but used to run a small printing business.

Oh thats a nice story. It's funny how the mundane can catch the imagination. I've already got my wall calendar for next year or else I'd get one too.

Maybe I'll create my own for 2023 and see if it sells!

This year I had art from Heironymus Bosch (mad as a box of frogs) and next year I have art from David Shrigley. I am a bit old school in that I live off my kitchen wall calendar.

As LadyM lives in Kensington, and based on my fond memories of living there too, the ideal subject for a 365 day calendar would be .. traffic wardens

I did get my car towed away once because I didn't notice a parking bay had been closed. I was having to park a couple of streets away so wasn't checking daily and I think it was about two weeks before I noticed it wasn't where I left it. Thought my car had been nicked, as no-one contacted me to tell me it had been towed.
