    DOOM: English Holidays

"This weekend social media were filled with hundreds of posts from hospitality workers urging customers to #BeKind as bars and restaurants were filled with bank holiday punters.

Jim Walker, the chair of Cumbria Tourism, said hotel owners had noticed some grumbling from young first-time holiday-makers who are surprised they have to “generate their own itinerary” because they are used to booking a package deal where “everything’s laid on for you at the resort”."

Internal holidays are now DOOMed - next year everyone will fly out to far places on package deals (will include PCR test).

To be fair, the state of some places I've been recently and the attitude of some of the people that don't normally do outdoors/walking/UK type holidays I wish they would.

I was talking to the guy who manages a local touring caravan site, and he said it's been a nightmare this summer. They've had a different crowd than usual; inconsiderate, rude and causing lots of bother.

Fights nearly broke out on one of the beach car parks last week. Some people were trying to reserve parking spaces, which didn't go down too well. There was also nearly a punch up on a single track road because no-one would reverse.

Best of all, some impatient bastard at the local petrol station shunted another car out of the way so he could get to the pump.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.
