Jeez, take it easy out there some of you. Remember the recent tragedy.

Road Accident

Thinking of Fleetwood, I used to live in Brussels although we never met. I gave up any idea of driving in Belgium after week one. The French have a sarcastic / ironic saying which goes 'as safe as a Belgian pavement'. As you can imagine coming from the French who ain't the best drivers, it was a bit of an understatement.Comment

Funny we should all start on about accidents. Taxi taking me home last night clipped the armco on the switchback going up to the villa. Driver was shocked to say the least, went around kicking his tyres and wiggled his steering wheel back and forth a few times before we set off again, distinctly slower.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Been driving for 21 years now without a single accident - and I used to do some serious mileage in the past. And that doesn't mean not driving fast either - sometimes that's the way to get out out of trouble.
Well done and hope your luck continues.Comment

I 'stereotype' cars/drivers to help judge how good a driver they are in order to try and predict their behaviour.
Crude, I know, but does work to an extent.
Worst combo - an old person in a Volvo!Comment

If you are the bike rider you might as well drop it, and start running 'cause that tw4t will drive the wrong way down the road to try and get you. It is actually one of the main ways that plod organ donors get it.
All really from the statistics by the by. The amount of facial hair and the Icthus sticker are the most significant items.
