    astra zeneca vs pfizer

    I have the jab tomorrow.

From a quick read AZ seems to have fluctuating efficacy of 63% - 92%
But the full trial shows 70%.

    Pfizer shows 95% efficacy

But different percentages seem to be reported in the media across different trials.
And AZ are doing a new trial in the US

I guess they will never really know for sure until probably 6 months into the vaccination process.

But seems to be a big gap between the two vaccines? Is this correct?

    Yes.

And unlikely you will have a choice anyway, most certainly you'll get AZ stuff.

Unless you're going to a uni or other facility that has the appropriate fridges, in which case you'll probably get Pfizer.

But probably AZ, as you say - there's more of them and they're easier to store.

Pluses and negatives on all vaccines, just get it. It will be an annual vax update anyway, just like flue covid-19 is here to stay.

If you go Pfizer make sure you don't get allergic reaction from -70C cooled liquids injected into your arm - rewatch Terminator 2 before you go!
