They missed out "exquisite lateral living space"Originally posted by darmstadt View PostEstate agent speak:
They mean cellar....
Effing "lateral" all over the shop winds me up. Then you get a numpty who uses the term on a house, not getting that lateral is being used to mean everything is on one level
I have always been a proponent of the "lower ground" description, especially when said with the vowels drawn out. Having lived in many basement flats, I find they tend to have more space and be a bit cheaper as they can be dark and damp if not properly done/maintained.Comment

Lease Hold, you'd need to check the terms of the lease to see what you are allowed to do. No guarantees it's an option.Originally posted by Andy2 View Postspend 50k on it to make it proper one bedroom flat and flip it for 500k"Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

Not the best conversion.
Needs work.
The cooker hood is there for effect. The kitchen area needs some work.
My money would be on the legals throwing up something.
I think change of use/ certificate of lawfulness will be needed by the purchaser,
I would also think that the lease and the freeholders could be "iffy".Former IPSE member

Also looks like the meters/utility supply to the property could have been tampered with in the past or present suggesting some "indoor farming" either current or previous on the premises.Former IPSE member
