Inneresting fact. Private schools in the UK are called public schools (as you know). They are called public schools because anyone, with the means, can send their children there. It was an alternative to hiring governesses and tutors in the home.


So I guess if Eton is closed they'll go back to the old ways.

My children go to independent schools, fees are reduced with 20% during lockdown

How parents with kids in Eton handling it?

On a more serious note, how are boarding schools covered? You'd think a captive population of kids avoids the main problem that schools pose. Not sure how many proper boarding schools there are any more though?

Son (17) gets about 45 mins a day....

Daughter (7) gets two lessons of 30 mins each twice a week...

Easy life if you ask me....

Teachers have done themselves no favours this lockdown especially when clamingvthey should be vaccinated ahead of others.

FFS healthy people in an average risk profession trying to jump the queue ahead of the vunrable and elderly because they are teachers. Embarrassing.
