Atheist arguments again Christianity

I've looked at the evidence that I've had in my life and come to a conclusion. I think it is obvious that my worldview is the right one, and anyone who holds any other is ignorant, deceived or delusional.

I'm interested to hear what evidence turned you from atheist to believer. Short of god speaking to you, and proving his existence, the evidence is surely just your own blind belief based on something happening in your life?

As for the tag 'atheist', I find it offensive to be called this just because I don't believe that gods exist. I also don't believe in santa existing but I don't see anyone being tagged with a moniker for this.

It's free insurance. If there is a God then OK Paradise or Hell will be the outcome. If there is no God, then the big red button on the side (IBM PC) is switched off and the hard disk smashed up; he wont know.

I doubt it. Just look for more brickbats to beat up the stupid believer. If you were interested, you could study the historicity of Christianity from mainstream historical secular sources. I'm not saying that's my route, but I know it is a route for some people.

I'm always fascinated how being a Christian provokes such venom and apparent hatred in (thankfully) a few people who probably consider themselves to be good and tolerant and friendly.

Pascal's wager is an interesting one, because I'm not sure it's logical. For instance, I simply couldn't "believe in God", I could act like I do, but in my heart of hearts? No chance. Would that be good enough for God, being self centred (wanting eternal life through Jesus if he exists) but paying lip service, or would he see through the act and banish me to eternal torment for not recognising Jesus as God / Muhammad as the one true prophet?

So what you're saying is that you're not prepared to provide an argument from evidence, deflecting and telling folk to do their own research (patronisingly assuming none of us have already done so).

After centuries of prosecution of non believers or not believing the right version of a certain religion going on until today, why should atheists be friendly to those who wanted to kill them for several thousands of years?
