I am still confused about why this information is required by the bank when it is on public record at the company house. Although the bank keeps saying that they are legally obliged to conduct ongoing monitoring of their customer relationship, surely the information requested could be collected through the company house platform. This is very unconfortable.

Write to them and ask under what law are they "require legally obliged to conduct ongoing monitoring of their customer relationship". The only law I know is the AML (anti money laundering) and I cant see that it would apply.Originally posted by Amos Anderson View PostI am still confused about why this information is required by the bank when it is on public record at the company house. It reminds of some time ago HSBC sent me an eight page document to fill in. That said I was legally obliged to under the Data Protect Act. I pointed out that is was not required under DPA, in fact it was opposite, they should not ask for extra information.."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment
