Privatising the rail service was never going to end well. The newspaper hyposcrisy is exactly what I'd expect.
The devil, as always, will be in the detail. Corbyn's forced buy up would cost an absolute fortune and be a huge mess; whereas I wonder if letting frachises expire and then taking them over gradually over time would be make for a more successful integration at lower cost?
Once it's all back under government control the entire rail service, especially in the north, needs shed loads spent on it to bring it up to date and make it fit for purpose. It would hope that investment is costed in.
Oh and scrap the farce that is HS2 - the money would be far better spent on improving what we have.

China can build it half price, but for some reason HS2 won't be given them unlike nuclear plant (!) and strategic communications (Huawei is not the only Chinese supplier of components)
