She committed an offence. If she has a different opinion on that she can take them to court, or do you think calling someone a baboon is acceptable, given who they are?

I'm not fully aware of the particulars regarding Katie Hopkins and my position is not of her defence, I was responding to something specific someone had said in this thread, I've read back and it's actually quite explicit what I'm debating.

That's interesting though, what was the criminal offence?

As a POC, I'm not sure if someone calling me a baboon should be outlawed actually - you can't legislate love.

According to someone on the radio*, she did not "call someone a baboon", it is claimed she asked someone who had threatened her with sexual violence whether he was "hung like a baboon" (which is a Blackadder quote).
I find KH offensive on every level, and wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire, for the avoidance of doubt.

What's really odd is that Katie's creditors did not sell her debt on public auction - I reckon they'd get more than £1 for £1 of debt with plenty of willing people buying debt that they could enforce against her.
