You need to read the contracts. Some nurseries will expect payment for private places during closures, others won't.
The government seems to be saying government-funded places will still get paid to the nurseries, they haven't clarified on private places. She definitely doesn't have to sack them tomorrow before the government expand on what measures are in place. That is a very bad decision.
She could put everyone on furlough while waiting a week. School places are funded termly too so she can quite reasonably count on income until Easter.
