The point is that you isolate the at risk group so they don't die during the surge, then herd immunity is developed in everyone else and protects them afterwards.

He wouldn't have been getting "massive doses" if he was taking the necessary precautions. Wearing PPE for example. He possibly just slipped up at some stage, or as the article states, he could have contracted the virus from elsewhere.

PPE isn’t magic armour - there is shortage of it too

Yes, they are used to it

541,589 deaths. That's the number for England and Wales from 2018. 45,132 per month on average. But we shut the country down for a handful, Sky says 35 now.

So either something else is going on, or many more are dying than we are being told. But whatever, the actions been taken does not match the information we are being given.

The issue is the huge numbers needing intensive care. The actions are to protect the NHS which is already at breaking point.

The alternative is to give all those needing intensive care enough morphine so they die peacefully. On many levels that might not be a bad thing. But no-one wants it to affect those close to them. And once you stop treating any section as just a bit less human, you open the flood gates. Its back to Hitler time.

Iran dug them in preparation. Not because the 500 or so dead to date needed them.

A useful information video from Australia. Rather sweary, so careful around the office... not that anyone is there anyway...
