"Downing Street has expressed anger towards Channel 4 News after their boss labelled Boris Johnson a "known liar" and likened him to the Russian president.

Government sources have branded comments made by Dorothy Bryne, Channel 4's head of News and Current Affairs, as "disappointing", considering the supposed impartial nature of the channel.

During the annual MacTaggart Lecture at the Edinburgh TV Festival Ms Bryne said broadcasters should be more direct in calling politicians liars.

"What we all need to decide: what do we do when a known liar becomes our Prime Minister?", she said."

What a known clown liar Boris is

Trash talking lefties and how am I not surprised you're in their club. Is Corbyn a bigger fibber than Boris? Of course he is. Is Boris a worse fibber than any other politician? Of course he's not. Boris is doing a good job but you can't get past the idea that being positive is good as negative is all there is in your world

Without having access to the full article, the only visible quote is:

Taking a leaf out of the book of people that defend Banks with the justification that he didn’t actually say that GT should die in the Atlantic, she didn’t actually say that Boris Johnson was a known liar.

It’s a rhetorical question - what should we do? Etc.
