If your Engine Warning light is lit when you take your car for its MoT, it will fail.

No ifs, no buts, fail. So, if a mechanic fixes a problem but doesn't clear down your codes then you're looking at a fail.

Disconnect the engine warning bulb before going for your MOT... sorted HTH
