Do your sites serve a purpose? Do they get any hits?
I knocked one up years ago, but I decided it was a complete and utter waste of time for what I do and emptied it.

I've got a personal one but I cannot be arsed with that either.

Yes, several sites with different purposes. My main site gets 300-700 hits a day. My CV pages get about 150/month for each one. I get a lot of calls from them: all agencies.

I was getting about 6000 hits/day at one time but that was because someone referenced a photo of mine in his MySpace profile, and as far as I could see, every time this had to be delivered by MySpace (as a thumbnail-sized pic) it came to my site and downloaded the whole 700k hi-res and converted it again. I stopped that.

I've got one for the company which hasn't generated any genuine business leads but provides reassurance during the bidding process.

I do get around 100 unique hits a day but most of the time I get phonecalls from companies offering cheap IT services (the fuzzies) or a miraculous conference which will increase my business volume 100 times.

I've several big clients and all the business is true direct, fixed price B2B and obviously, no agencies. At the moment I've too much work on so if the site generates any additional leads then I will have to outsource additional work/employ scrotes which I'm not too keen on.

If I can get the balance right then I'm outta here in 10 years.

Minimalistic website with some indexes into technical stuff.

It's very handy for putting up screen shots and code examples. When I was doing some Apache stuff, it was faster to access my own site for the manuals than the official Apache site.

Peak number of hits: 2000 one afternoon when I wrote something amusing and got linked to by an online magazine.

I host it on a system at home, which means that I'm not limited to the software or disk space provided by my ISP, and can see the logs in real time.
