Contractor Among Contractors

He sets himself for the shot...he shoots....it's in the air....he scores !!!
Week to go before unemployment, slightly sweating I must say, bit of a cull going on contractor wise but I am sorted for another 3 months which takes me through to a much more amenable climate and job seeking time of year. Deep breath and time to work out how much cash it's worth.
Season's greetings all.

i'm up for renewal at the moment...

january 5th is my last day so the wheels are in motion...

I have slipped my project though and they kinda have to keep me on to finish it.

I feel bad but the requirements have been changing a bit but niot enough for the slip tbh...

am i a bad boy?

I had a very strange conference call from the US last night. Having quit my role and then unquitting. I was told over the phone by the US development team they were looking to me to tell them how to do the whole new datawarehousing development.

Appears my boss had been bigging me up.

Anyone got a dummies guide?

Time to reverse the knowledge flow, methinks ;)

no tolerance that i know of.....

finger of blame is waivering over the groups changing business structure (whihc everyone is always moaning at)

basically i was given 4 months to re qrite an access db to asp .net with reporting services and sql backend...

I wreckon its gonna take 5-6 at this rate.. with self penned document management module
so thats a 50% growth.. quite hard to swallow really...
estimates were totally do lally looking back... plus i have been BA and PM on the job. which means i have really disappeared up my own gant chart...
