No it means Londoners were scared of a gay criminal or rather.. even an effiminate gay man could be described as tough in LondonOriginally posted by sasguruIndeed. So that means you're even wussier than a gay.
Have you considered applying for the role? The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

Just seen this on the News and it looks quite terrible. Not sure if it's the result of Global Warming or not. I suppose if we had another dozen of them, over the course of the next few months, then that *might* lend some credence to the GW theory.
BGG (in the vain attempt to steer the thread back on to it's subject matter...<points at the usual culprits again)Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

OooH hark at the PC police. I'll say what I want, ta!Originally posted by SallyAnneI'm afraid it's politically incorrect to say "a gay".
You may describe someone as gay, but not "a gay".
You also aren't allowed to say "some gays" or "those gays".

I'm only joking. My mate (who is a gay) got a 12 page dossier sent to him from the HR department at work about the correct terminology to use when talking about sexual preferences. He brought it out that night and we all had rather a good larf!
been a standing joke ever since
