The fact is, no matter who perpetrated the gas attack, even if it was an acting FSB agent, the Kremlin will deny any involvement.

Even if the perpetrator was caught, and confessed that they did it on the orders of the Russian authorities, the Kremin would still deny it or claim it was a conspiracy to discredit Russia.

There's almost no chance of getting to the truth.

The point is was it the Russians, or someone else trying to discredit them?

For once, I reckon Corbyn has been somewhat harshly treated for sounding a note of caution.

After all, just because these Novichok chemicals may be fiendishly hard to discover, and (perhaps) manufacture, they are only chemical substances and there's no law of physics to say they can't be made somewhere else, especially if their details have been filched one way or another from Russian labs at some point over the last thirty or more years.
Russia/USSR were proven to do such tulip many times over, even if (very big IF) it wasn't them this time, then it was well past time for them to face justice.

And what, pray, would you have expected the UK to do exactly?

Salmond is making big bucks from his show, just a way to bribe politician "legally", the fooking state TV channel should have been closed years ago - they should get exactly the same right to free speech as their Govt allow inside Russia.

It's war whether you like it or not, be on the right side of history

I did not expect pathetic measures (essentially just "diplomatic" expulsion) after proper ultimatum on Monday - May wimped out, her (and this country,s) world standing is below zero now, war declared and lost in 48 hours

If she could not do better she should have STFU on Monday and just do the usual pathetic response without raising expectations that this time it's different

There will be sanctions/restrictions at some point. They will only work if everyone is onboard and that is the process just now.

If Britain does not want to lose dirty money flowing from Russia, then how can you expect Germany to lose money from selling less Mercs there?

UK should have invoked Article 5 of NATO, demand joint action to say expel "diplomats" from every NATO country, at least that sould have resulted in meaningful degradation of spy network

I can understand why people like Salmond who are on Putins payroll defend him, but how the fook there is anybody on this forum still willing to entertain crazy thoughts that it's some kind of MI6 setup of cuddly whiter than white Putin???

                  Useful idiots for sure

They wanted to see if us leaving the EU and having a nutjob in the white house has made us isolated. Now that the main players have all backed us 100% they have failed on that level.

I'm sure these things happen much more than the public realise, it's just this one got into the public realm so there is a certain theatre about it.

Backed with what? No action, just expression of concern - Putin is very happy, he is loving Brexit and he will do this tulip again - not in Germany, but here
