But it's cost me a fortune in stamp duty and trading fees by changing how much goes in each pot by the day.

Depends on the size of the portfolio you're working with.

Indeed but the other problem is that if this isn't resolved that inflation takes off, and then all the cash on the sidelines will start to look like a bad idea.

      No easy answer.

It's the stamp duty that is the killer and it's a percentage so bigger portfolio bigger cost

Sterling inflation if we print too much is a worry. I don't think you'll get dollar inflation for the foreseeable future.

You need to avoid UK stocks and trade directly on the US or European exchanges.

Eonomists are warning about Inflation in the US as well. The US is also spending trillions.

Sterling has become more like an emerging market currency in recent years so somewhat more risky than the other reserve currencies.

The FTSE seems to have problems getting through the 5800 support line.

                We need some bad news.

You need scarce 'stuff' for inflation and with China open and loads of oil we will be awash with much cheapness. Sterling is up against the Euro, depends how much we bend the rules as to the health of sterling, we can't take the p*** as much as the yanks.
