You are aware that central London has loads of tourists?
Most Londoners and those who commute in from the rest of the SE avoid tourist places like Oxford Circus as much as they can."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Fair point. Almost all of the "eyewitnesses" seemed to be tourists, and when I worked close to Oxford Circus I used to walk to Green Park to get the tube, as it was far less unpleasant.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostYou are aware that central London has loads of tourists?

Child#2 got caught up in this. She works in the area and travels home from Oxford Circus. She was walking to the station, and there were a crowd of people running towards her, and the police shouting "get out of the area and get inside". All the buildings had locked their doors, so there was no "inside". I guess it only takes one or two people to start a panic. Fortunately this time everything was fine.Comment

Maybe it was due to the fake Daily Mail and right winger tweets that caused a lot of panic, i.e.

“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment
